Client Overview

Enterprise analytics platform with shared identity and access management systems.

Overview

Backend-heavy role (~80%) within a shared platform team focused on authentication and authorization systems used across multiple products.

Responsibilities:

• Improve and customize authentication services
• Contribute to authorization-related flows (in collaboration with another team)
• Implement specific features such as IP registration and UI-related changes
• Work across legacy and modern identity systems

• Collaborate closely with backend-focused engineering teams

Tech Stack & Requirements

• Java Spring Boot
• Strong experience building REST APIs
• OpenSearch (or strong NoSQL background)
  • Consumption-focused (indexing not required)
• ReactJS / NextJS
• Experience with design systems
• Strong IAM knowledge:
  • Auth0 / Okta (authentication)
  • Keycloak (authorization)
• Understanding of SSO, RBAC, and distributed identity systems
• Frontend exposure (JavaScript for authentication-related flows)

Nice to Have

• Experience working with multiple authentication systems (legacy + modern)
• Exposure to complex enterprise identity environments
• Deeper IAM experience (SSO flows, identity providers configuration, RBAC models) – often discussed in interviews

Must-Have Profile

• Strong fullstack engineer with deep backend expertise
• Hands-on experience with IAM systems (not just superficial integrations)
• Experience with SSO and distributed authentication systems

• Backend-heavy engineering setup
• Distributed international team

Seniority Expectations

• Senior engineer capable of ramping up within ~1 sprint (2 weeks)
• High autonomy and ability to contribute quickly
