Overview

Backend-focused role responsible for building Java-based services and APIs, ensuring reliability, scalability, and integration with data systems and external services.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services and APIs
• Build and maintain microservices and integrations
• Own services in production (deployment, monitoring, reliability)
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams on solution design
• Implement data access layers and messaging integrations
• Ensure observability, performance, and security
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices
• Participate in Agile workflows and system design discussions

Tech Stack & Requirements

• Java (Spring / Spring Boot)
• REST APIs, OpenAPI
• SQL / NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB)
• Messaging systems (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ)
• AWS (ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS)
• CI/CD, Git workflows
• Observability (logs, metrics, tracing)

Nice to Have

• Kotlin
• Advanced cloud architecture experience
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems

Must-Have Profile

• Strong backend engineer with microservices experience
• Solid system design and data modeling skills
• Experience working in production environments
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
